Carlo Collidi

Carlo Collodi was the pen name of Carlo Lorenzini, who was born in Florence in 1826. As a journalist, education reformer, soldier, civil servant, translator and author of children's books, he is best known for The Adventures of Pinocchio. Collodi is considered one of Italy's greatest writers.

Iassen Ghiuselev has illustrated many children's books worldwide. He was awarded the Illustrator of the Year award in 1994 at the Bologna Book Fair. In 1997 he was honoured with the Best Book of the Year award by the Buchkunst Foundation in Germany. He worked for several years in Italy and now lives in Sofia, Bulgaria with his wife and daughter.
