About the Authors

Silvia Mas and Arantxa Mellado are co-founders of The Spanish Digital Link, a publishing services and advising company focused on the Spanish-speaking markets.

Silvia Mas was director of the Liber Spanish book fair in Barcelona from 2007 to 2010. She has extensive experience as director of international marketing and sales and in innovation, always related to the provision of services to the business segment. Sylvia holds an MSc in Anglo-Germanic Philology from UA of Barcelona and speaks six languages fluently. At present, she runs Business Development and Strategic Alliances at The Spanish Digital Link.

Arantxa Mellado has more than 15 years experience in the book industry. She has been chief editor at Editorial Emecé and Editorial Salamandra—both reputed independent Spanish Publishing Houses—owner of a publishing services company, and founder and CEO at Ediciona, a social networking site for publishing industry people and companies.

Arantxa is also a teacher of Digital Publishing at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and Universidad de Alcalá. She has worked as a consultant for the Spanish and Catalan governments, making several reports on publishing. She manages and writes for Actualidad Editorial, one of the most followed blogs in Spanish about digital publishing and international publishing trends. At present, Arantxa is CEO at The Spanish Digital Link.
