Livres Canada Books, in collaboration with the Trade Commissioner Service, and International Trade at Canadian Heritage, is again supporting the presence of Canadian publishers in Guadalajara this year.
Taking place from November 30 to December 8, 2024, the Guadalajara International Book Fair is the most important publishing event in Ibero-America. In 2023, 2,469 exhibitors from 61 countries and more than 17,400 international professionals attended the Fair.
Exhibiting on the Canada Stand is your opportunity to sell and buy rights, generate new contacts, strengthen existing relationships, and discover new business opportunities.
As per the Trade Commissioner Service criteria, space on the stand is limited to 16 publishers who will be selected based on their export readiness and previous results in this market.

OPEN FOR BUSINESS
The Canada Stand is always a popular destination for exhibitors at international book fairs. The centrally located and open concept stand features colourful graphics and ample display space.
ALL-INCLUSIVE SERVICE
Livres Canada Books takes the worry out of exhibiting overseas. We work with fair service providers to handle paperwork, logistics, and promotion, so you can concentrate on business and maximize your time at the Fair.
The Trade Commissioner Service will retain the services of a publishing consultant to help schedule appointments.
HALF STAND WITH SHARED TABLE – $300
The Half Stand package includes:
- 1 exhibitor pass per sharing exhibitor
- 1 table and 4 chairs (shared with partner exhibitor)
- 4 display shelves per sharing exhibitor (1 metre wide each)
- signage
- interpreter (English-French-Spanish)
- listing in the official print and online fair catalogue and Livres Canada Books directory
- set-up and tear-down
- reception desk service
- regular updates on important information as the opening date nears
- Wi-Fi access
We will consider organizing a consolidated shipment if there is sufficient interest.
Other Stand/Literary Agents Centre
Publishers exhibiting on their own stand or on their distributor's stand, and those working from the Literary Agents Centre, are encouraged to register with Livres Canada Books. Registration is free and includes listings in the Canada Stand directory and on the Livres Canada Books website, and regular information bulletins about the fair as the event nears. Just remember to select "Other stand/Agents Centre" on the registration form.
Publishers exhibiting on their own stand are reminded that they are responsible for making all arrangements directly with the fair authorities and/or service providers for space rental and stand furnishings, exhibitor passes, listings in the fair catalogue, and shipping.
Registration and Payment
Space on the Canada Stand is limited to 16 publishers who will be selected by the Trade Commissioner Service based on their export readiness.
Publishers interested in exhibiting on the Canada Stand at the 2024 FIL Guadalajara should fill out the registration form on the Livres Canada Books website. Payment should be submitted in full as soon as your company receives confirmation that it has been selected to participate.
Please note: You will receive an additional email from Gabrielle Etcheverry, Deputy Executive Director, to confirm your final reservation on Friday, June 21. After this date, registration is non-refundable. Exhibitors who cancel their registration remain liable for full payment. A refund will only be made if we can find a replacement exhibitor. If we cannot find a replacement, the exhibitor must pay the full cost of the stand.
Any additional furnishings or accessories (including badges) will be charged back to the exhibitor (prices available on request).
Prices are in Canadian dollars, based on current exchange rates. Livres Canada Books reserves the right to adjust prices in case of any significant devaluation of the Canadian dollar.
