Foreign Rights Marketing Assistance Program (FRMAP)

ATTENTION – FRMAP Funding for events and export trips in Russia is suspended until further notice.

Livres Canada Books Resumes FRMAP Travel Funding

Funding for FRMAP recipients has resumed for qualifying export sales trips and international trade events that are deemed essential by the program recipients.

Recipients must follow updated national and international public health guidelines and regulations concerning COVID-19 while respecting Global Affairs Canada’s travel advisories and advice: They must also respect the health measures of the country being visited and all other relevant guidelines.

After following and respecting all above-mentioned recommendations, FRMAP recipients can submit a claim for their trip. In the event that one or more COVID-19 tests are needed to undertake the export trip or event, recipients can add the fees to the eligible program expenses.

FRMAP recipients who choose to travel at this time do so at their own risk and are responsible for fees and other expenses related to COVID-19 public health measures, such as quarantine and self-isolation.

This program fosters Canadian publishers’ export sales by providing cost-shared funding for export sales trips and participation in international book fairs and trade events.

Livres Canada Books supports exporting publishers from all regions of Canada, including national and provincial publisher associations, through this fund.

Eligible publishers may choose from a diverse range of conferences, industry events, book fairs and sales trips that best meet their export marketing needs.
