Learn from our webinar providing an overview of international library lending practices for digital titles, hosted by industry expert Brian O’Leary.

As library e-book lending practices come under greater scrutiny by large multinational publishers, this webinar explores how international libraries are balancing increasing demand for e-books from library patrons with the needs of small- and medium-size publishers. The webinar offers Canadian publishers some much-needed guidance, providing participants with the tools they require to navigate the challenges and opportunities of working with selected international libraries to ensure both the visibility of, and access to, Canadian titles (in English, French, or translation) and their proper licensing and remuneration.

Livres Canada Books has commissioned a project that will gather concrete information and strategies for Canadian publishers of all sizes who seek to increase their visibility and digital book sales in international markets. As this project launches, this webinar provides:

  • An overview of the project to study digital library markets in the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Spain, and the United States of America
  • An opportunity to hear directly from organizations managing library sales in select international markets
  • Information about library purchasing decisions and information to facilitate purchases and discoverability
  • An opportunity to add your questions and concerns to the project, ensuring they are addressed in the final report in March 2024

This practical webinar helps publishers increase their presence and sales in significant library markets.
